Board updates, is anyone out there?

I haven't really been updating this board much, but I noticed a huge influx in spambots again. I've cleaned up as much as I could, as well as updated phpbb to the latest version. I've also purged users with a heavy sledgehammer, that said, if you registered anytime recently, your account may have be...

Re: Is your lighter solid gold or gold plated?

I believe it's typically the outer casing and the lid, but I'm not 100% sure on that, truth be told, i'm not rich enough to own one! I imagine the actual internal parts are still brass, but maybe some of the pieces that are visible up top could be gold?

Re: Discontinued ST Dupont Ligne 2?

they make a ton of variations over the years, its probably just an older model. also it's possible that the box is a newer box than it would have came - no guarantee that someone didn't swap the box out, sellers do all sorts of funny things sometimes.

Re: S T Dupont lighers, id help

so the one on the right with the slot on the bottom cap is the predecessor to the ligne 1 large. it's old, like pre-1960s/70s old. the one on the left....I've never seen anything like that. I think it's a fake ligne 1, and to say that, is actually kind of a big deal. I've never actually seen a fake ...

Re: Help in identifying this lighters

this is the predecessor to the ligne 1 large. I'm not sure the exact name, but possibly ligne br? It's old. 6 digit serial number, but also the older design (slot on the bottom cap instead of pull-out ring) you can see the gold pattern is the same as my ligne 1 small on the top left corner of the si...

Re: Ligne 1 Dupont real/fake

yes it's real. It's not actually a ligne 1, it's the model before the ligne 1, i think they called it ligne BR or something like that....This is a very old lighter. You can tell it's the older model because the gas fill cap has just a slot. All ligne 1's have a ring that pulls out and lets you turn ...

Re: Please Identify My Fathers St. Dupont Lighter

its a ligne 1 large.

it's definitely older as you said, you can tell because the serial number is only 6 digits.

I can't tell you the exact age, but wouldn't be surprised if it was made in the 70s, when you said he got it.

Re: Model info and date?

yes it's real, they don't fake that model typically.

ligne 1 small...20 micron gold plated finish.
