soo.. ive been doing a little research and i cant figure out why it doesnt have a serial number on it.. on the bottom it saysL dunhill. made in switzerland, and patented... feels pretty heavy so im assuming its gold,, not sure whether its gold plated or solid gold? someone help me please... :D

Looks like a pretty standard dunhill rollagas. It's a brass lighter, gold plated. If it were solid gold, it would have "14k" or "18k" or the like stamped on it.

On the other hand, markings like "20u" or "20 micron" indicate gold plating. Generally no marking at all means it's gold plated as well.

The real reason it's so easy to tell is that there's laws requiring most gold and silver products to be properly stamped for import/trade and most of those laws have been around since long before these lighters were ever produced, so they should all be stamped as far as I know.
