christian dior lighters

Post by Xero » Sun Dec 27, 2009 7:36 pm

christian dior lighters are one of the only well made flint lighters I know of that uses a traditional bic-style flint roller. Dupont, Dunhill, Cartier are mostly side-rollers. I find people have a lot less trouble using the traditional style, so having one of these around is a great addition to any collection. I've seen them go for insanely cheap on ebay before, as little as $15-20, which is probably mostly due to them being somewhat unknown. For the most part, a good find if you can get one at a reasonable cost. However, be aware if flints have been left in them for long periods of time, my first one had 2 stuck flints (the main flint and the one in the spare compartment both were lodged) and this took some effort to repair, but generally it's a matter of patience with getting out a stuck flint. My second one was perfect from the bat, these lighters are pretty durable considering their age.
